Bajaj Auto, the creator of the two-wheeler, has introduced the cheap form of the popular electric scooter Chetak 3503 today (April 25). The price of its former showroom has been kept at Tk 1.5 lakh.
The next generation model was introduced in India with cosmetic changes and mechanical upgrades in December -2024, but the price of 3503 variants was not announced. Its other forms are 3501 and 3502.
A new chassis frame of the updated Bajaj Chetak has been used, the battery pack is placed at the bottom of the floorboard. It will now provide a 35-liter underneath the seat space on the e-scooter.
It has a large battery pack of 3.5kWh. The company has claimed that the new electronic scooter will get a 153 km range on the entire charge. However, its other forms have less features from 3501 and 3502.
The electronic scooter was launched on December 35 Series of Chetak on December -2024.
3 years/50,000 km of warranty will be available
Chetak 35 Series is a top series of EV-Lineup of the E-Scooter Company. Chetak 3501 is priced at 1,27,243 (former showroom, Bengaluru), and 3502 priced 1,19,999 (former showroom, Bengaluru) rupees.
The company is giving a 3 -year/50,000 km of warranty with the new Chattak. Chetak 35 Series will compete with electronic scooters on VIDA V2, Ather Risk, Ola S1 Pro and TVS Icube.
Bajaj has increased dealerships in 507 cities and scooters can also be purchased on e-commerce platform Amazon and Flipkart. Its booking has been started on the official website.
The new Chetak Electary Scooter 35 series is being built at the Bajaj Plant of Pune Akurdi, where Chetak Scooter production was first started in 1972.
Performance: 73kmph top speed and range of 153 km
Chetak has an electric motor for the 35 series performance. At this point the company is unaware of its right power. The company has claimed that 3501 and 3502 models of e-scooters can achieve the top speed of 73kmph. At the same time, 3503 will get the top speed of 63kmph.
The electric motor has been given a new battery pack of 3.5kWH to the power, which is the largest battery so far. The agency has claimed that the scooter is a 153 km IDC certified and a 120-125 km real range will be fully charged once.
The 3501 model will receive an onboard charger of 950W, from which the battery pack can be charged 0-80% in just 3 hours. At the same time, 3502 got a 950W offboard charger, which can charge the scooter 0-80% within 3:25 hours.
Design: 80 mm long seats will be available for comfort seats The Chetak scooter may look like an old model in the presence but technically a lot has been changed. The scooter’s platform has also been replaced. The new platform has also changed the control system, motor panel, battery location and its structure. It provides better range, storage space and comfort on the scooter.
The new Bajaj Chetak 35 Series has an e-scooter front horsshow-shaped LED DRL, retro-style design with chrome elements and a tailing tail section. There are 80 mm long seats than other variations in 35 series. The e-scooter now has a large floorboard, which gives more space to the knee than before. Due to this the wheelbes has also increased 25 mm by 1,350 mm.
Chetak 35 Series e-Skooter is built on the new platform.
Chetak will get 35 liters of storage underneath the 35 series e-squutter seat.
Features: Navigation on the map and Auto Hill HOLD
Bajaj Chetak 3501: It has a new TFT touch display. It provides features such as the map, smart-phone connection, FOB (Remort Lock/Unlock) and an echo riding mode. Both EV variants will also get advance protection features like Auto Hill Hold.
For more features, you need to buy tech-packs, which will get an additional riding sports mode. In addition, the entire smartphone connection features will be available, which includes extra speed alert with geo-fencing, sequel blingker, guide, home lights, tropped alerts, trips and data analytics and speed limit settings.
Bajaj Chetak 3502: This variant has a TFT display but it is not capable of touch and it has on the turn-by-turn-on. This variant does not have key-fibes and instead provides mechanical keys and only eco ride mode. Tack-packs provide features with 3501 but it does not have serial index and on-board document storage facility.
Bajaj Chetak 3503: The scooter uses a colorful LCD display with the Basic Bluetooth connection. In the other two variants, the drum brake is given instead of the front disc brake. The tack-pack contains 3501 features, but it has no hierarchical index.
