If you have your own bike or scooter you can start earning by registering on the cab service platforms. And if you ride, the cheap and fast bike taxi service option is ready for you.
The central government has allowed the use of private (non-transport, white number plate) motorcycle for ride sharing and bike taxi services. The Road Transport Ministry (MRTH) has notified his annual report of Motor Vehicles Agricultural Guide (MVAG) 2025.
This service will run through assemblies like Rapido, Uber and Ola, but these platforms need to be approved by the state governments. The decision has been made due to the rapid increase in demand for electric vehicles (EV) and auto-rickshaw rides in India since 2021.
What is the new guide?
- State Governments will decide whether they allow personal bikes for taxi services here.
- State governments can take fees from agigators (such as Uber, Rapido) according to daily, weekly or weekly.
- Drivers need to have a valid driving license, insurance and good condition of the vehicle.
- Even if the ride is discarded by the customer, he will have to pay a 10% rent or maximum $ 100 fine.
- The Agrigator needs to review the cab driver’s ratings every 3 months and make a report.
- If a driver’s rating is less than 5, he must be trained. If the driver still fails, his services will end.
- The car must be connected to the company’s central server by installing the location tracking devices. The position of the position must be associated with the control and command center of the state.
- The central government has advised all states to implement these new rules within the next three months, that is, September 2025.
- Cab service agigators will have to pay a health insurance of 5 lakh for the drivers and a term of Rs 1 lakh.
- If the driver uses his bike he will get at least 80% of the fair. If the bike is from the agigator, the driver will get 60% fair.
- In Peak Hour, the Agregas can charge the base fair to double, but there will be no hidden charges.
