Tata Motors will launch its premium hatchback, Tata Ultraz 22 May. It can be launched at the initial price of 6.50 lakhs. The first generation ultraose is getting a big update after 5 years. Tata Motors has released this vehicle design and technical upgrade before launch …

1 Designing

The design of the new Tata Ultraz is fully replaced, which makes it more attractive and premium than ever. The new front grill pattern, which looks more elegant and sharp, gives the car a modern look. It now includes LED headlamps and LED fog lamps, which not only enhances its appearance but also provides better visibility at night.

Side profiles add new design Aloe wheels and flush door handles, which is a unique feature in this section. Flush Door Handles are usually seen in premium SUVs such as Tata Curve or Mahindra XUV 700, which creates Ultraz a distinct identity in this section.

Black elements in rear design are further enhanced, giving the rear bumper and spill a black-out look. Also, the LED tail lamps from the end to the end give the vehicle a modern and stylish appeal. Overall, the new Ultraz design also takes out the competition like Maruti Suzuki Balleno and Hyundai I20 in the Premium Hatchback section.

2 The interior and features

Tata Ultraz was always known for its feature -rich offers, but this time the company has improved it. The dashboard is fully designed to give a premium look in the interior, which looks like attractive and expensive vehicles.

It has two attached screens: a 10.25 -inch touchscreen Infotaining system and a complete digital instrument cluster, which is customized. It can display features like cluster map, 360-degree camera, blind view monitor and tire pressing monitoring system.

Other features include: Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Herman Speaker, 360-DG Camera, 65 W type-C Fast Charging Port, Wireless Charging Pad, Voice-Raid Electric Sunroof, Rear AC Vents

The special topic is that Tata has included a number of premium features such as flush door handles (entry-level) and sunroff (available from other forms) in lower varieties. In addition, features such as climate control and cruise control are also available in lower variants, which are not usually found in this section.

Both the front and rear seats are comfortable in the new ultraz. It has two spoke steering wheels. Here is a gloss-black panel and an enlightened Tata logo, taken from Nexon SUV. Smart digital (in Tarter language) controls for steering cruise, audio and phone calls. At the same time, due to twin-cylinder technology at CNG variants, boot space products are available enough to keep products.

3 Protection

Tata Ultraz is India’s Safe Hatchback, which received 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash examination. This is the only hatchback in this section that has been successful in achieving this rating. Its powerful build quality and security features separate it. The protection features include:

  • 6 Airbag: Available from entry-level variants.
  • GSP: For stability and control.
  • 360-DG camera and blind view monitor: better visibility.
  • 90-dwelle door opening: easy entry and exit.
  • Express cool and tire pressure monitoring: additional features and protection.

Additional features have also been added to the protection of the tank in the CNG variant, which is rare in this section. Dual clutch automatic (DCA) gearbox also contains security features such as the car at the door is not accidentally opening the door, which is especially effective for new drivers.

4 engine options

Tata Ultraz is the only hatchback in this section that provides three engine options: petrol, diesel and CNG

  • 1.5-liter diesel engine: High torque, 16-19 km/liter mileage and great driving experience.
  • 1.2-liter ICNG: Performance like petrol, 20-24 km/kg mileage and adequate boot space with twin-cylinder technology.
  • 1.2-liter Petrol Engine: Manual and Dual Clutch with Automatic (DCA) options.

DCA gearbox, usually in premium vehicle, provides more refined experiences to this section than AMT or CVT.

5. Conclusion

The updated version of the Tata Ultraz may be proven as a game-manager in India’s Premium Hatchback section. In India, where Maruti Suzuki Balleno, Hyundai I20, and Honda Jazz already exist, Ultraz creates a unique identity with its 5-star protection rating, premium feature and 3 engine options.

But the price will be an important issue. Tata Motors has not yet revealed official prices. Prices, warranties and other details will appear at the launch on May 2225. The new Ultraj will get a strong competition from brands like Maruti and Hyundai, which is strong in the price and brand loyalty.
